This is my new blog called Slow Sewing (Slow Sew for short!) It’s about the process of sewing, rather than the end. I love the handmade and couture techniques, the way that our grandmothers and great-grandmothers use to sew. My name is Amber Eden. I am the former editor-in-chief of Threads magazine and while there launched SewStylish and CraftStylish.com. Currently, I write a weekly sewing column for AOL’s Stylist.com called DIY Design. I am finishing up a Haute Couture certificate at Fashion Institute of Technology, where I ¬†also earned a certificate in draping. This is the blog log of my projects. Look for the SlowSewing.com web site soon!
